TAS Releases Audio Recording of Anthem

The Atlas Society (TAS) has just released a dramatic audio recording of Ayn Rand's Anthem.

"After almost two years of effort, I'm delighted with the result," says TAS director Robert Bidinotto, who served as executive producer. "It's more than a mere reading of Rand's story: it's an electrifying dramatization."

Produced by TAS, Anthem was published in March by HighBridge Company, a major audio publisher. HighBridge also publishes The World of Atlas Shrugged, TAS's audio companion to Rand's great novel.

When Bidinotto learned in July 2000 that the U. S. copyrights for Anthem had been allowed to lapse, he hired Nashville's Patricia Childs—producer of The World of Atlas Shrugged—to oversee the recording project. He also engaged film composer (and Objectivist) Michael Shapiro to compose an original score, and veteran actor and voice talent Paul Meier to narrate.

"Patricia, Mike, and Paul are major industry talents," Bidinotto says. "Listeners will be stunned by the quality, excitement, and sheer drama of their work. Paul's narration alone is a tour de force, and I expect Anthem to be nominated for recording industry awards."

Anthem is available on audiocassette and CD through bookstores and commercial outlets nationwide, and from The Objectivism Store (where TOC and TAS member receive a 10 percent discount).
